2010.1.13 is even more hilarious than 1.12, when the news of Google leaving China detonated the whole Chinese Internet. All IM groups were filled up with discussion. Some colleagues, who I’m proud of, went to Goolge’s building in Beijing, leaving bunches of flower to show their respect.
It’s history. And when all this happened, I was in a stupid meeting in Tianhe Studium.

I didn’t found video recording any fun until I won an Ipod Nano in the lucky draw of the annual dinner of my company. The gadget can be used to record video. But it does not support static picture shooting, which is weird. Maybe it’s too small to put a zooming camera on it.
When Gerald is getting his bath, or Alpha is jumping up and down like a monkey. It’s convenient to grab the Ipod and shoot some footage.
When we are bored on the trip, we can take out the ipod to review the sweet feed of our pets’ life.
It’s absolutely outdated policy!
I found books are cheap on Kobo. As usual, it’s for US customers only. Its verification is so weird. It verifies according to IP address.
It’s so easy to get around. That’s how I bought a book of Sarah Palin.
I found goodreads.com wonderful. And I’ve recommended it to Sean, my co-worker.
Some book reviews are so great. They are even better than the book itself. This is like the English version of Douban.com. But it fucuses on books only, and books in English only.
It’s like going to Douban for a movie review after watching it. When I’ve finished a book, good or not, I’d like to check what other readers would say about it.
The site also has many fancy features, like flash gadget, auto-link to twitter. It will be perfect if it can recommend books automatically for me.
The logos of Facebook and Twitter always show up together, which make me feel they may someday merge.
Just finished a reading on SSH Port Forwarding.
It’s pretty clear. Not much left to say. Only one note:
If you use it in Remote mode and want to bind ip addresses other than localhost, you must enable an option in the /etc/ssh/sshd_config of the ssh server machine:
GatewayPorts yes
By default, sshd only allows ssh client to initiate service binding to loopback interface.
The movie is great. Nice special effects. The China elements are funny. Well, the writer killed a lot of good guys, and kept many bad guys alive. That’s the way it is, I guess.
